Peridinin-chlorophyll-protein complex (PerCP) is isolated from Dinophyceae sp. It has an extremely high absorbtivity, a high quantum efficiency, a large Stokes shift and a strong excitation peak at 482nm with its maximum emission peak at 677nm. The protein is commonly used for fluorescent immunolabeling, particularly in applications involving fluorescent-activated cell sorting (FACS).

Preparation Before Use
PerCP is stored in containing salty solutions. Therefore, PerCP needs to be desalting. it must be extensively dialyzed prior to use or column to remove any remaining. Use PBS or your conjugation buffer (1 ml of PerCP to 1 liter of buffer) to dialyze at least two changes of buffer.
